They also stock a great collection of clothing brands such as Seasalt, Masai, Mistral, Weird Fish, Eribe Knitwear, Nomads and ethical clothing brands Skunkfunk and Thought. There are also handmade items made from Harris Tweed, an array of unique Scottish and Orcadian Gifts and a fantastic selection of Sheila Fleet and Ortak Orkney Silver. They represent many small Scottish crafters and makers. The shop is a great place to purchase that special Scottish gift. We can personally recommend this shop too!
Leakey's Bookshop was established in 1979 and has been housed for the last 30 years in the old Gaelic Church (1793), on Church Street in the centre of Inverness.
It is Scotland's largest secondhand bookshop with 100,000 selected volumes. They have been actively buying books throughout the Highlands for well over 40 years, buying that has been exciting and fruitful. The wood burning fire that heats the shop has filled many customers with amazement and some with dread.
Leakey's is definitely worth a visit!
